As I never use Window's picture manager, not familiar with how it works. This is an excellent program though all in all. You may try the free Exif Pilot which is a very small program allow you to edit quite many thing inside of exif data base (indeed a lot from date & time to camera model, settings etc).

The second option that you have is to install a batch editing plugin. This may be faster than editing some of the tags manually, but it will remove all tags not just the once you want to remove in first place.
